Water Recreation Access for All

Our lakes are places of calm, connection and joy - and everyone deserves the opportunity to experience them.

The Water Recreation Access for All initiative expands access to some of our region’s most loved lakes and beaches, ensuring people of all abilities can enjoy being on and near the water. Through thoughtful and universal design principals and community support, we are  opening the shoreline to more people than ever before.

What We’re Doing

In partnership with Three Rivers Park District, the Foundation is supporting improvements at:

  • Cleary Lake Regional Park

  • Bryant Lake Regional Park

  • Fish Lake Regional Park

  • Silverwood Park

These enhancements focus on practical, proven solutions; including  accessible docks, shoreline improvements, and MobiMats, that make it easier to reach the water’s edge, launch a paddle, or simply take in the sights and sounds of the lake.
